OTTAWA, July 13th, 2012 —The Ottawa Rhythm Festival committee is pleased to announce this year the Ottawa Rhythm Festival, a new music festival celebrating the best in Caribbean, Latin, and Soul music from around the world. In collaboration with the 50th anniversary of independence of Jamaica and Trinidad, the non-profit festival comes out of Ottawa with the spirit and flavour of the Islands.
Taking place at the legendary Twin Elm Rugby Park, this unique event and venue presents a multitude of entertainment options for each festival goer, including music, food, and family friendly sporting activities, with proceeds going to CHEO. This year's musical lineup aims to showcase the talents of the Caribbean and Latin America, featuring performances by Alison Hinds, Thrilla U, Junior Kelly, The Cuban Martinez Show, and Ras Lee, with more to be announced.
