Police Halt s Drake's Performance in Jamaica

Canadian Rap Superstar Drake performed alongside Reggae sensation Movado at the 2011 BritJam.

While hyping up the crowd he uttered in his best Jamaican patois "Everywhere mi go, mi seh Jamaica to the Blood***** world".

He must have forgotten about Jamaica's Profanity law.The act referred to by the acting Deputy Superintendent is the Town and Communities Act legislated to protect citizens of Jamaica from exposure to profanity and threatening words in particularly the public arena. The artist left the stage with his security before he could be stopped by the police.

Recently Reggae artist Sizzla avoided jail time on his recent Profanity charge and opted to pay the small fine instead.
