MONTREAL INTERNATIONAL REGGAE FESTIVAL AUGUST 20 & 21TH 2011


The Quays of the Old Port of Montreal will play host to The 8th Annual Montreal International Reggae Festival (MIRF) this upcoming August 20 & 21, 2011.This event will showcase some of the top artistes in the reggae/dancehall industry: Mavado, Gyptian, Beres Hammond, Wayne Wonder, Third World, Sharon Tucker, Jahvinci, Sustane, Exco Levi, King Mee, Don Skilachi, Ijah, Orthodox Issachar, Jah Cutta, Mello G, Visionary, Ammoye, Ghost, KC, Iley Dread, Nina Karle, Nickki T, Underground Realroad, Dan Fiyah Beats, Naky B, Uprising Band and many more.

The MIRF attracts many larger reggae acts and is slowly growing to be one of the most popular reggae events in Eastern North America. 

The momentum has steadily been building amongst the fans, the artists and the public in general and is been cited as one of the year’s and most anticipated reggae festival in Montreal history and a milestone for the reggae industry.

Since its foundation in 2004, the MIRF has ranked among the top annual festivals held in Montreal each year that currently attracts over 50,000 people with fans traveling from across the globe to attend. It’s a 2-day weekend-long event that is by far the largest of its kind in Canada held in one of Montreal’s hottest touristic outdoor venues; the Quays of The Old Port of Montreal.
