USAIN BOLT QUALIFIES FOR 100M AT WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP



The world's fastest man in the world Usain Bolt won his heat in 10.10 seconds qualifying for the semifinals at world championship.

Usain Bolt easily won his 100-meters heat on the opening day of the track and field world championships as Kenyans swept the first two medal events.

Bolt posted the day’s best time of 10.10 seconds in Daegu,South Korea The Jamaican broke his own 100-meter world record at the 2009 championships in Berlin.


Kenya women took all three medals in the marathon and 10,000 meters. Edna Kiplagat won the marathon ahead of Priscah Jeptoo and Sharon Cherop, while Vivian Cheruiyot won the 10,000 meters, followed by Sally Kipyego and Lenet Masai.

The men’s 100 meters will be one of five finals tomorrow. The championships run until Sept. 4.
