Jamaicans, descendants of Jamaicans and friends of Jamaica around the globe celebrate 50 years of Jamaican independence in 2012.
A Montreal planning committee under the leadership of Chairman Mr. Delroy Peart and Mr. Noel Alexander, of the Jamaica Association of Montreal, has been formed.
The next event planned, a Fashion show event on Saturday April 28th 2012, where we celebrate Jamaican culture and business through fashion. The Jam Fashion Show will be held at Le Manoir, 5319 Notre Dame De Grace Ave. MTL. The models have been selected and the designs have been prepared to showcase Jamaica’s talents and colours. Our designers are: Rasta Line, Mad Fashions, Carlton Fashion, Michael Julien, Exclusive Style, Perez collection and more.
Backed by our talented artists: Juliet Nelson, Shakito, Rashiyd & TLC Sounds.Ms.Janet Sinclair, event and fashion show coordinator and Ms.Gail Shakes former Miss Jamaica Montreal 1995, Miss QANF 1994 and Miss Carifiesta 1997 will be the MC’s for the evening.
Doors open at 7:00pm for cocktail hour and show begins at 8:00pm. Tickets are $20.00 in advance and $25.00 at the door.
