Popular Dancehall entertainer, David Brooks, a.k.a, Mavado is currently spending his time behind bars following an arrest in the parish of St. Ann. He & members of his entourage were taken in by St. Ann police following an incident at a local nightclub

Initial reports from the Jamaica Gleaner suggest that the deejay and members of his entourage were engaged in a physical altercation with a delivery man. After said confrontation, the deliver many was reportedly left “bloody.” Furthermore, it’s been confirmed that the police has to chase down Mavado’s tour bus in order to get a hold of the entertainer.

This instance doesn’t mark the first that Mavado has had a run-in with the law. He was previously arrested & charged in 2008 with relation to a shooting incident that occurred the previous year in the Mannings Hill area of Constant Spring. Most recently, the artiste known for recent hits such as “Don’t Wanna Be a Memory” and “Pepper” shared the same jail cell with former rival, Vybz Kartel. The two were named last November as persons of interest; questioned in connection with several crimes that were committed the Constant Spring area. Both men were subsequently released the following day.
