EVENT SPOTLIGHT: TORONTO'S ROOTSMAN FOR "BIGGA TINGS FI 2012"

From it's conception in the Garrison of JANE AND FINCH (Toronto's notorious badman territory) in 1997 ROOTSMAN has evolved as CANADA"S #1 clash sound.

Clashing with many of the greatest sounds in the industry such as JARO, BODYGUARD, BLACK KAT, KING ADDIES, MIGHTY CROWN just to name a few. And traveling from Guyana, Jamaica, Trinidad, Bermuda, St Vincent, In Europe and of course all over Canada and the USA.

What sets Rootsman apart from other sounds is their unique collection of dubs featuring many exclusive and customized riddims. Rootsmans major project of fridays nite's GIRLS PARADE in the west end of Toronto has been a huge success for over 2 yrs. Between Clashing and weekly juggling events, ,they remain Toronto's top demand sound system. Also keep busy with their highly anticipated ROOTS AND CULTURE cd they feature quarterly. and the new edittion of ROAD TRIP, which is now at the 3rd episode: DESTINATION KINGSTON.

Presently Rootsman is a co- promoter of the anticipated year to year Black and White affair in Toronto's east end, and has been co-promoter of many clashes in the city.
ROOTSMAN was in NYC for the 2010 GLOBAL CLASH and also at the GARRISON flex with sounds like LP EarthRuler, Generations and Yaried. Then Rootsman took journey to GERMANY for the 2010 RIDDIM CLASH. APRIL 9/2011 CLARENDON, JAMAICA alongside BASS ODYSSEY for a year to year event.
